It's this weird mix of recasting's, attempts at edgy political stuff, and generic as hell stuff that feels like a 90s sitcom. 2 actors play the boyfriend and father of the kid. They've had 2 actresses play the oldest daughter, 2 actresses play the second oldest daughters, and 3 kids play the son of the oldest daughter. However, the most odd thing about it is the constant re-castings. Nancy Travis as the wife is fine, if not really that memorable. The adults on the show are fine, and Tim Allen's co-workers, Kyle and his boss, are probably the best characters on the show, along with his youngest daughter, Eve, as I can already tell the kid who plays her is way too good for the show. I even agree with some of the attitudes of Tim Allen's character, but the show is doing some very common sitcom family story, than Tim Allen randomly walks in and says random anti-liberal comments, and it just takes you out of the show.

I wish it tone down the anti liberal jokes, not because I don't like anti liberal humor, as I love 'South Park' and really admire 'King Of The Hill', as much it feels forced and doesn't really fit with the tone of the show.
